Getting SCUBA Certified . . .

Step 1

The academics

The first step in your SCUBA certification journey is deciding between a traditional classroom setting with a book and DVD, or the PADI E-learning course.

E-learning: Starting your academics online is perfect for those that require freedom in their schedule. Follow the PADI link and purchase the course online! You can start right away and we will get notified when you start the course, and when you finish. After you have completed the e-learning you can schedule the pool sessions.

Step 2

the pool

The confined water (pool) sessions are scheduled directly with Central Coast by calling or emailing the store. We offer private courses only, so please contact us with 4 to 5 dates in mind, at least 4 hours each session.

Our instructors have a variety of schedules, meaning we can accommodate anyone at any time. The store does not need to be open for class to be held.

When the confined open water training is completed, we encourage all of our students to get in the pool and practice before certification. We do not charge anything extra for this.

Step 3

Certification

To finish your certification, PADI requires 4 open water dives over two days. There are a few options to finish up your certification;

  • We offer certification weekends one weekend a month from June to September/ October.

  • We run trips all over the world, and we can offer certification on one of those.

  • If one of our certification weekends does not work for you, we can also provide a private open water certification to fit your schedule.

  • If you already have a trip planned, we can give you the referral paperwork and recommend a great PADI facility for you to finish your certification!
